I haven't posted for a while, because of three fundamental reasons: 1. I am lazy. 2. I was busy. 3. My life is boring and nothing new is happening. So it would be pointeless to blog about being bored and having nothing to new to discuss. But I have something new... although it's not fantastic and grand, it's personal and one conflict that gives me sanity that it's resolved. I have decided to major in English. Of course nursing is still there, but afterwards when I transfer, I will be an English major. I haven't decided if I want to pursue a minor in Spanish, but that's secondary. And yes, contrary to popular belief, English majors can still go to Med school and in fact, have a higher rate of acceptance than the science majors do. So there! I'm going to start reading books now... I haven't actually read much in years... The last book I remember reading is O Pioneers! and that was for English class, and before that... i really can't recall, although I did get through half of One Hundred Years of Solitude but never did finish it... Sad really, because I'm one of those people who believe in the power of reading, probably inherited from my mom... but it's never too late to start. I really regret the years I spent where the only thing I read was cover to cover of Cosmo, Glamour, InStyle, and Seventeen. I subscribe to all four now, and while they are legitimate reading materials, they're not scholarly readings.... Sorry Cosmo. So that's one milestone I have jumped over safele without too much drama.
