Dangerous Woman™

I am a Dangerous Woman™. At least in my opinion. Others view me as a creature who lacks boldness. Quiet and reserved, without much opinions about anything, and with extremely mild manners. Well, that's just a huge mistake. I'm dangerous. I'm toxic. Don't get too close, 'cuz I bite.

There are very valid reasons why I say that I am a Dangerous Woman™. First, there is absolutely so much truth in that women who are powerful, are found to be threatening to much of society. Of course, there are always those individuals who are confident and sure of themselves, enough not to be, but they are few and far in between.

I can be very gentle and kind when I want to be, and I want to be that way most of the time. But when push comes to shove, I can get angry, and I don't spare lives. So don't step on my toes.

I'm not a scary individual and nor am I a violent one. However, I am an intensely passionate person, who has an intelligent mind and a smart mouth that tells it like it is. Sometimes that can make me appear formidable. I'm not that petite quiet Asian girl who's doing her calculus homework like she's told. I'm that wild-child who's drenching wet and dancing in a fountain, arms flung in the air, a la Sylvia in La Dolce Vita.

I'm just giving an explanation for the upper left words, "Dangerous Women," that is all. Relax. I'm not saying that I'm a terrorist or something!

Actually, I am a terrorist. Terrorist to fish! I'm a fish killer. I'm having sushi for dinner tonight... fish beware! Yum Yum Yum, yummy in my tummy, yummy fishies in my tummy!

Obviously, I'm not feeling well. Don't mind my brainless rambling. I'll be back to normal soon.

Ok. I did some more editing of the page, and hopefully it's not too bad. I worked the page in 800x600 resolution, and it looks alright, at least from here. Can anyone tell me if the archive page is working well? I'll explain why I chose this particular piece of "Dangerous Women" as a theme... but I need sleep, so perhaps over the weekend!

Ok, so here's the new template that I worked on for days, using Microsoft Frontpage (which is all I have!). Please Email Me with any problems. I assume there will be problems, because, oh, let's face it: why wouldn't there be...? I will try to make something better the next time around, as I always try to do... at this point, I was sick of the color purple (Barney ruined purple for good) and wanted something less opaque.

Please wear a construction hat, as you have entered the Construction Zone™.

So anyways. There was a man, who appeared to be in his mid 30's to early 40's, who had long graying hair and a rather wise lookin' beard. He walks around the building in which I work, and asks people for their shoes, so that he can clean them. He's a weird guy though -- I was buying tacos across the street, when he approached me and asked me to buy a CD. When I declined, he demanded that I buy him a cola, because he was thirsty, and because I supposedly looked like someone from his 6th grade class. Of course I didn't buy him anything, and walked away, ignoring him, and I was promptly met with a roar of laughter and curses all rolled into one bellowing sound. His voice echoed up and down and through 8th street.

From what I hear, this man got into a fight with the security guard in the building, because the guard didn't let him in. Well, it led to a physical fight, and the police was called -- I'm surprised they showed up so fast! But all four police cars and one fire truck came, to arrest one crazy man.

There are shop-owners who, like my boss, have been in this two-story building for over a decade, and they're always out and about looking for anything remotely interesting -- today's event was definitely interesting, and they sat outside, viewing the whole charade like spectators. It seemed as though they were watching a play or something! So that was somewhat interesting. No gun fires though, so not too crazy.

I've gotten a very very brief survey of using ftp. I'm no expert on html or http or WWW or anything like that, but from what I see, movable type is very useful. First of all, everyone who uses movable type has the most webpages and it's always so precise in many ways. Of course, it does help that they probably have web hosting with a higher bandwidth than the lousy (although I still appreciate it very much, thank you ripway.com!) 5MB that is allowed by my host, albeit free. And nice domain names too.

But if I were to get a domain name, I'd never be able to decide on one. That would be like naming yourself. What would you name yourself? Only, it would be harder to figure out a domain name, because it could be a human name, or a thing, a place, or a phrase. And it would have to describe me, and since it isn't something I would change at a slight whim, it would have to describe me close to forever and ever.

Things like Typepad just costs too much for too little options. Basically, for something that I would enjoy, I'd need to put out $9, or as how they slyly put it, $8.95/month. Even with a year's service (which gives two months free) I'd still be spending $90 a year, and this is without domain names! And only three blogs! What if I want seven?

I have been preparing for another blog overhaul, and that should get me over this "I want a blog with "the works"" syndrome. Also, Blogger and Blog*spot have been good to me. They've been free, and never with any sort of problems. They even answered some of my questions I e-mailed with such promptness that isn't too common in the "free" services.

And Villagephotos, is fantastic, although I paid $5. But that's $5 for 6 MONTHS! It's been better than the ripway hosting, although they are related companies, I believe. For some reason, with ripway, my usage is very high -- the reasons why the photos I put below frequently don't show. With village photos, I didn't have that problem, although the maximum MB allowed daily are the same. So I guess I will be here at blog*spot for a while. I'm just too frugal to pay for something I could easily get for free. It would break my heart to pay, even if I had the money.

I'm just dropping in quickly -- I have a full day of work, so I really gotta get going, but...

It started out as another peaceful albeit boring day here in Los Angeles, when four police cars pulled up into our building's parking lot...

To keep you in suspense, as well as due to lack of time, I will finish the story later...

Sometimes, out of something so crazy can be something so orderly and functional:

Check out Wills of famous British people!

I wanted to go the actual website to get a good copy of Shakespeare's will, which is supposed to be free to download. I waited patiently, holding my excitement still, for the page to load. All I got was "The page cannot be displayed."

I actually got up at 6:30 AM to study. I wanted to blog right away, to leave evidence of this actually happening, with a time stamp and all, but I figured then it would become moo point for me to get up so early. So I studied. Exam was a bit unexpected, but tolerable. But by noon I was a little tired, and by the afternoon classes, absolutely sluggish. In economics, last class of the day, instead of import, I wrote important for some reason. I nearly had to paint my notes with white-out.

I need to read a part of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales for tomorrow night's class. Chaucer, is a very humorous writer, and I love humor. Chaucer's very frank, and although it is still in an older English, it's much more tolerable than Beowulf. I think I'm going to unwind and digest my dinner (curry rice -- yummy yum yum!) over some good ole TV first though. With a diet Vanilla Coke. Mmmmm.

Procrastination is the biggest demon that lives within me.

I have an exam tomorrow (I haven't studied at all!) and I have some readings that needs to be done, but I'm behind. I'm tired, I'm sleepy, I can't concentrate. There's a lot on my plate -- I got the nursing applications (I think this is the fourth time!) due in a week or two, papers and exams up the wazoo, or whatever. And all I can think of doing is listening to Maroon5, and enjoying the most divine beverage: Diet Vanilla Coke.

Which brings me to what I really wanted to say! I went to Ralph's today to pick up some stuff for work, and saw diet vanilla Coke! I was just so excited! After work, I went with my brother to buy boxes of it. I love, love, looooove Vanilla Coke, but since I have been made aware of my current weight situation (surplus of weight = not good!), I had to opt for diet Coke, which is so blah. I also loved Cherry Coke, but there was no diet version of that for ages, until now! Or at least to my knowledge. I found the diet cherry coke, but I was so obsessed with the diet vanilley, that diet cherry will have to wait another day before I indulge in it. I wanted to take a picture of the can of diet vanilla coke, but I had to charge my battery. Such divine drinks (a.k.a. "nectar of the gods") should be photographed and placed on one's blog for much admiration by its adoring public. I love vanilla coke.

As I walked down the aisle, I evil-eyed the Vanilla pepsi, and muttered under my breath, "biter."

Went out last night, had drinks with friends in honor of one's birthday -- she turned 28. Started with Chung Ha then San-sah-choon and then to beer, (Hite), Crown Special, and finished with Champagne. What a night. From experience, I know never to mix drinks. I stuck with Chung ha the whole night and did not get a massive hangover. Now, time to play catch-up on school work.
